A person just starting out with online gaming can sometimes feel some trepidation. When you make your grand entrance you’re feeling slightly clueless, compared to everyone else, and your newb questions only seem to irritate more experienced players.

Taking everything and trying to fit in can feel impossible. Finding people to play with can be challenging. When people get tired of you asking and decide to let you play, then the next hurdle is staying with the pace and not embarrassing yourself. Oh – are you a lefty? And have you been blowing off getting that left-handed mouse? You’re gonna need one – stat, but no worries about that. We want you to have the most fun possible with your online gaming; and right now we’re going to talk about a few tricks you can use.

That left handed mouse will appreciate getting a rest from time to time. It is not only okay to take a break from gaming, sometimes it is required. It is imperative to take good care of both the body and mind, this can be a complicated task if you are not taking intermittent breaks from your games to exercise and eat right. Those who find themselves sleep deprived and forgetting to eat will also notice they are more frustrated with their poor gaming skills. That’s right, those MMORPG’s are indeed addictive. It is important, however that you do yourself (and those around you) a favor by taking a break from it sometimes. We all know the benefits of returning to a game refreshed and ready to tackle the next challenge rather than allowing ourselves to burn out.

Be a team player. If you look closely enough, you will recognize a lot of parallels between MMORPG’s and regular team sports. It’s important for you to have the willingness to accept advice and even directions from more experienced players.

On the other hand, it will be necessary for you to do the same, one day, when you have to. It is okay to make sacrifices for your team-playing a way that is different than you are used to can help the team and makes playing more fun for everyone. If you’re not prepared to bend a little and play for the good of the team, then your experience may be short lived in that community. You’re there to have fun, sure, but you need to maintain the needs of the team, first.

Never be nervous about asking other people for feedback. It can feel strange if you’re new to a left-handed mouse and keyboard shortcuts. Ask a left handed veteran of the game for help on the mechanics of playing. Even if you’re not a bad player, or if you’re good, it’s a smart idea to ask people for any good advice. People can be predictable in some ways because you will discover they love helping other people, usually. If you become good, then the situation will be reversed and you will be called upon to help others.

Online gaming is meant to be a fun past time. Little did you know, but that is how they are designed to be – fun. If you’re looking for the maximum amount of fun and anything else, you will need to think about a few things. For lefties… make your keyboard shortcuts, and then be sure you have a left-handed mouse. Keep in mind about humility and working with a team. When there’s no friction or fighting, it’s all just a greater experience.
